Job summary

Houchens Ace Hardware in Owensboro, KY is seeking a floor associate to engage customers, assess needs, and help with merchandising. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, and maintain clean, organized departments while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service.

You will participate in daily huddles, follow store policies, promote Ace Rewards, and support teammates as part of a fast-paced retail team. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others.
• Proven track record of being a team player.
• Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired.

• Availability must be flexible including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise; maintain your department.
• Execute daily goals with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Cooperate with others and work well as part of a retail team.
• Promote Ace Rewards and inform customers about promotions.
• Assist customers with large or heavy items and greet customers on encounter.
• Demonstrate the S.A.L.E.S. process and participate in store communications.
