The YMCA of Greater Charlotte is seeking a part-time Group Fitness Instructor to deliver safe, engaging classes at our Charlotte location. Instructors will design routines, monitor attendance, and build member relations to support program growth and retention.

Responsibilities include teaching at least two classes weekly, arranging substitutes, and maintaining equipment and space quality. Qualifications include ACE or AEA certification and 5+ years of teaching experience, plus strong

• ACE Group Exercise Certification or Water Fitness Certification (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of teaching experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours based on center’s need.

Responsabilidades

• Design and prepare class routines that meet safety guidelines and current exercise physiology practices.
• Engage with members before and after classes to build relationships.
• Record attendance and maintain target participation (>70%).
• Instruct a minimum of 2 classes per week (8 per month) and arrange substitutes as needed.
• Start and end classes on time; keep equipment and exercise area clean.
