Job summary

YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Level I Group Exercise Instructor to lead land and water fitness classes and educate members on wellness practices. You will manage class setup, music selection, and safety procedures in alignment with YMCA policies and COACH APPROACH® principles.

The role requires maintaining CPR/AED and YMCA certifications, attending staff trainings, and keeping accurate attendance records in GroupEx PRO. A high school diploma or GED and 18+ years of age are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• YMCA/ACE Group Exercise Instructor Certification (or equivalency) within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead land and water group exercise classes.
• Ensure safety and adherence to guidelines and certifications.
• Log attendance and manage substitutions in GroupEx PRO.
• Maintain CPR/AED and other required certifications.
