Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division’s Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Chicago seeks a Group Exercise Instructor to lead highly motivating classes that help members reach their fitness goals.

You will deliver diverse group sessions, ensure safety, provide feedback, and work with the Fitness Center Manager to plan schedules. CPR/First Aid/AED credentials and 2+ years’ experience required.

Qualifications

• Associate or BA in Sports/Physical Education preferred.
• Two or more years’ experience teaching group exercise classes.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in assigned group exercise classes.
• Be on time and prepared to teach your class.
• Develop and instruct fun, energetic and motivational classes for all levels.
• Teach beginners through advanced learners in fitness programs.
• Maintain a safe learning environment and adhere to safety protocols.
• Communicate with the Fitness Center Manager regarding scheduling.
