St Charles Park District is seeking a part-time Group Fitness Instructor to deliver high-quality recreation services at Norris Recreation Center in St. Charles, IL.

The role requires certification (ACE/AFAA) and First Aid/CPR/AED within 30 days, plus DCFS mandated reporter training if not already held. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, safety-minded attitude, and prior fitness instruction experience.

Qualifications

• Professional certification required (ACE or AFAA).
• Advanced knowledge of exercise techniques and major muscle groups.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• DCFS Mandated Reporter certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead group fitness classes and cycle studio sessions.
• Demonstrate and educate participants on proper techniques.
• Ensure safety and proper form during all activities.
• Arrive prepared to teach and motivate participants.
• Maintain studio cleanliness and equipment in good condition.
