Job summary

The Town of Frisco seeks a Grounds Maintenance Operator to perform duties across Town facilities, parks, and streets. The role involves operating a range of heavy equipment, winter snow removal, and seasonal tasks within three levels of the Grounds Operator position.

Required: High school diploma or GED and valid driver's license; CDL-B preferred for advancement. Training and seasonal incentives are provided along with safety and equipment maintenance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade/technical coursework preferred for additional specialization.
• 2+ years snow removal operations experience favorable.
• 2+ years grounds/landscape maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Town equipment (grader, dump truck, wheel loader, skid steer, street sweeper, tractor, backhoe, pickup, utility vehicle) as directed.
• Use hand and power tools for landscape maintenance, repair, and construction.
• Perform basic daily equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Winter snow removal and de-icing on Town streets, sidewalks, and facilities.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow safety standards.
• Possess flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
• May supervise seasonal staff and assist with event setup and cleanup.
