Job summary

FedEx Freight is hiring for a dock worker in Wisconsin. You will move freight between docks and trailers, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as required. You will verify freight details, secure loads, and complete paperwork with accuracy, while assisting customers with documentation.

The role requires basic math, clear communication, and the ability to lift heavy freight and work in a fast-paced dock environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience preferred.
• Experience with hostler/yard mule duties is a plus.
• Ability to count and perform basic math; good communication.
• Ability to lift heavy freight and operate dock equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight between dock areas and trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck as needed.
• Verify freight descriptions and documentation accuracy.
• Secure freight inside trailers and complete required reports.
• Assist customers with freight documentation when needed.
• Perform hostling duties if required.
