Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking an on-site dock worker to transport freight between the dock and trailers. You will use forklifts and pallet jacks to move items, verify paperwork, and secure cargo inside trailers.

The role requires basic math, good communication, and the ability to lift and maneuver weights up to roughly 100 pounds at times. A HS diploma or equivalent and prior warehouse experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior warehousing or freight handling experience preferred.
• Experience with hostler/yard mule duties is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Move freight across dock area to/from trailers.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack safely.
• Verify freight documents match description.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets and straps.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Assist customers with freight documentation and questions.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Support hostling duties if required.
