Job summary

Washoe County School District (WCSD) seeks an Elementary-Middle-HIGH School Classroom Teacher to implement district curriculum in multiple grades. Under administrator supervision, you may teach one or more subjects and contribute to planning, instruction, and assessment aligned with standards.

The role requires a Nevada teaching license and at least a bachelor’s degree with student teaching experience, plus 3 years of contracted teaching.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with student teaching experience.
• Experience: Three (3) years of verified contracted teaching experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Ability to obtain a valid Nevada teaching license in the relevant subject area/grade level.
• Knowledge of child development, behavior and characteristics of students and subject area.
• Strong planning, organization, supervision and data-based decision making.
