Job summary

Washoe County School District in Nevada is seeking a Certified - Classroom Teacher for Elementary to join the team. The teacher will implement curriculum, design instruction, assess learning, and maintain an engaging classroom environment.

Education requirements include a Bachelor's degree with student teaching experience and eligibility for a Nevada teaching license. Three years of contracted teaching experience preferred; renewable licenses possible with department guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with student teaching experience.
• Three (3) years of verified contracted teaching experience with a Bachelor's Degree and the ability to obtain a valid teaching license in Nevada.
• Possession of, or the ability to obtain a valid Nevada teaching license in the relevant subject area/and or grade level.

Responsibilities

• Planning and Preparation: Mastery of content and pedagogy, sets instructional outcomes, designs coherent instruction and assessments.
• Instruction: Communicates learning expectations, engages students, embeds assessment, demonstrates flexibility and MTSS familiarity.
