Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks an Elementary-Middle-Higher School Classroom Teacher to implement curriculum and lead instruction across primary grades. The role requires mastery of content, diverse learner outcomes, and a strong classroom environment.

Responsibilities include planning, instruction, and professional collaboration, with emphasis on effective teaching practices and data-driven decision making. Teaching license eligibility in Nevada is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with student teaching experience.
• Three (3) years of verified contracted teaching experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
• Ability to obtain a valid Nevada teaching license in the relevant subject area/and or grade level.
• Knowledge of child development, student behavior, and subject area.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design instruction aligned with Common Core State Standards.
• Communicate learning expectations to students and engage learners.
• Embed assessments in instruction and monitor student achievement.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in a professional community.
