Job summary

Labcorp, a global leader in laboratory services, is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the Hampton Roads area. The role involves venipuncture, specimen handling, and travel to multiple sites with a rotating schedule from 7am to 7pm, Monday through Friday.

This position requires phlebotomy certification or training, or 6+ months experience, a valid driver's license, and strong customer service skills. The role offers a base pay and a monthly incentive, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Pass a standardized color blindness test and maintain driving eligibility

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other duties as assigned
