Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to fix, maintain, and power the workplace, ensuring buildings and systems run smoothly. You’ll handle repairs, preventive maintenance, and rapid response while supporting world-class facilities.

Role titles include Facilities Technician and Building Maintenance Technician, with responsibilities spanning diagnostics, repairs, and energy management to keep systems efficient.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and track completion.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems and exchange straightforward information clearly.
• Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
