Job summary

The City of Glenarden is seeking a dependable part-time Special Events Crew Member to support event setup, breakdown, custodial tasks, and facility operations across the Gold Room, Community Center, and Nutrition Center as needed.

The role requires availability to work evenings, late nights, weekends and holidays based on scheduled events, reporting to the Events Manager. Salary is $19.36 per hour and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• 1 year of experience in banquet operations, hospitality, event support, facilities maintenance, custodial services, or related field.
• Experience setting up and breaking down event spaces, including tables, chairs, staging, and equipment.
• Experience performing custodial duties and maintaining clean facilities or event spaces.

Responsibilities

• Event Setup & Breakdown: set up and break down spaces for scheduled events and ensure proper configurations.
• Facility Maintenance: clean spaces, restrooms, hallways, and common areas before, during, and after events.
• Custodial & Sanitation: clean kitchen equipment and maintain sanitation per procedures.
• Operational Support: assist Department of Public Works and ensure on-site readiness for events.
