Job summary

The City of Greenbelt, Maryland, through its Recreation Department, is seeking a part-time Facility Assistant to support program and event activities. You will help with setup, provide information to users, and perform light custodial duties to ensure a positive experience.

Ideal candidates are at least 17 years old, have completed at least 20 service hours, and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 years or older.
• Must have 20 completed service hours (preferably with City of Greenbelt).

Responsibilities

• Assist with facility users and provide information on policies and procedures.
• Help with facility use activities including safety and security.
• Inventory facility supplies and equipment.
• Perform basic custodial and janitorial tasks before, during, and after events.
• Set up and breakdown for events (tables, chairs, AV equipment).
• Assist with audio/video or other technology equipment for programs.
