Job summary

Rio Las Vegas seeks a Special Events Security Officer to maintain a safe, secure environment during high-traffic events. You will monitor venues, control access, respond to incidents, and provide courteous support to guests, staff, and organizers.

The role requires flexible shifts, strong communication, the ability to make quick decisions, and a commitment to safety procedures. Prior security experience is a plus, with a Security Academy completing within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Completion of Security Academy within first 30 days of hire.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills under stress.
• Flexible shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to make quick decisions and de-escalate when needed.
• Experience with incident reporting and safety procedures.
• Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods and assist guests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well-being of guests and team members.
• Monitor event spaces and control access.
• Provide escorts to guests and assist VIPs as needed.
• Respond to incidents and document them per policy.
• Assist with lost and found and ongoing reports.
• Enforce venue rules and safety regulations consistently.
• Coordinate with Showroom Management and Security for smooth operations.
• Perform patrols and respond to emergencies, including CPR if required.
