Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club seeks an Event Manager to plan, organize, and execute a wide range of events. You will coordinate venues, catering, transportation, and lodging while driving memorable experiences that align with the brand and goals.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in a high-volume venue, strong organizational skills, and the ability to read BEOs. A related degree is a plus; weddings, social, and corporate events experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as an Event Manager in a high-volume hotel, resort, or golf club.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in large-scale banquets.
• Highly organized with ability to read and decipher BEOs.
• Degree, certification or training in Hotel and Restaurant Management or related is a plus.
• Experience with weddings/social and corporate events.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement event plans and concepts aligned with organizational goals.
• Coordinate all event logistics including venue, catering, transportation, and accommodation.
• Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to constraints.
• Collaborate with marketing/communications to promote events and maximize attendance.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure best terms and services.
• Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown; ensure smooth operations.
• Lead and manage event staff and volunteers with clear direction.
• Evaluate event success and implement improvements for future events.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
