Jackson Lewis P.C. in Raleigh, NC, seeks an experienced employment litigation attorney to defend and litigate a broad range of employment-related claims.

You will advise employers and handle matters in court, at mediations, and in arbitration, including class/collective actions and non-compete cases. The role requires a JD from an ABA-accredited law school, 5+ years of litigation experience in employment law, and active NC bar admission or the ability to obtain it quickly.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school and excellent academic credentials.
• 5+ years of litigation experience, employment law background strongly preferred.
• Active NC bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
• Understanding of current court and employment-related agency procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and project-management skills.
• Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork, and ability to work independently on various projects.

Responsibilities

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.
• Provide advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment laws and regulations.
