Job summary

Barna, Guzy & Steffen, Ltd. in Minnesota seeks an Employment and Business Litigation Associate Attorney for a full‑time, on‑site role in Coon Rapids. You will represent clients in employment and business disputes, provide risk management counsel, and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.

Daily work includes legal research, managing case files, discovery, depositions, and court appearances. You will collaborate with partners and colleagues, communicate strategy to clients, and support business

Qualifications

0-3 years law practice experience.
Strong foundation in employment law and business litigation.
Experience in construction litigation and employment counseling.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with colleagues and clients and opposing counsel.
Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in employment and/or commercial litigation preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct legal research and manage case files.
Participate in discovery, and draft and respond to pleadings, motions and briefs.
Take and defend depositions, and appear in court for hearings and trials.
Communicate with clients regarding case strategy and developments.
Help develop practical, business-oriented solutions and contribute to business development.
