Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Milton is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support nurses and physicians in a fast-paced ED. This role performs EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, splinting, and patient activities of daily living, while maintaining supply inventories and ensuring equipment is clean and ready.

The ED Technician collaborates closely with physicians and nurses, documents results, and contributes to efficient patient care in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA) required.
• Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes and completes tasks delegated by nurses and physicians in a fast-paced ED.
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, splinting, crutch walking, and daily living activities.
• Maintains supply inventory and ensures equipment is cleaned and ready for the next patient.
• Documents results in the medical record and communicates with staff.
