Job summary

Brown University Health seeks an ED Tech/Unit Clerk to support the Emergency Department team in Taunton, MA. Under the supervision of nurses and providers, you will assist with patient assessment, care delivery, and bedside procedures to ensure timely, high-quality care for all ages.

You will help with patient transport, CPR support, and equipment readiness while maintaining clear communication with patients and families. A strong team focus and adaptability are essential to thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of related experience and/or training in the health care setting preferred
• Experience as an ED Tech or other role within the health care setting, inpatient or outpatient preferred.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy/physiology and medical terminology preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient assessment and care under the direction of the RN.
• Demonstrates ability to organize and multitask in a fast-paced ED setting.
• Assist with procedures and patient care including CPR/compressions.
• Monitor patients and respond to call bells and requests.
• Restock rooms and prepare for housekeeping and patient care needs.
