HiredFirst is seeking a Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department for a 340-bed acute care facility in Overland Park, KS. The role reports to the Director of Emergency Services and the Chief Nursing Officer and leads nursing operations across the ED to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

The position emphasizes monitoring nursing practice against policies, staff accountability, and efficient unit functioning, with day shift and relocation assistance on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care leadership in an emergency department setting.
• BSN preferred or actively pursuing with completion required within 2 years of hire date.
• Current registered nurse licensure in the state of practice, or an active compact RN license.
• ACLS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and ENPC or PALS — all must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership across the emergency department.
• Oversee daily operations and staffing to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing practice against established policies and procedures.
• Hold staff accountable for clinical outcomes aligned with departmental and facility objectives.
