Job summary

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a dedicated ECSE SPED teacher for a full-time, on-site position in Buffalo Gap, SD. The assignment runs Oct 2026–May/June 2027 with paid hours and dedicated planning time.

You will collaborate with district staff, families, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality services to PreK students. As the ECSE Birth–Grade 3 endorsed educator, you will oversee IEP development, case management, evaluations, and progress monitoring, ensuring IDEA compliance and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Current or eligible SD licensure for Special Education (ECSE Birth–Grade 3).
• SD authorization to provide Special Education services.
• 1+ year school experience preferred.
• Experience with students with disabilities and IDEA/IEP processes.
• Ability to deliver individualized and differentiated instruction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Proficiency with instructional technology and documentation.
• Willingness to complete fingerprinting and background clearance.
• Ability to collaborate with families, educators, and specialists.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction and case management for students with disabilities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and progress toward goals.
• Coordinate special education services and caseload management.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations as appropriate.
• Collect and analyze progress data to measure IEP outcomes.
• Adapt instructional strategies to student needs and settings.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain records.
• Participate in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related-service staff.
• Support IDEA compliance and district procedures.
