Job summary

Estes Express Lines is seeking a dock associate to load/unload freight using forklift or pallet jack, and to strap and pad items to prevent damage. You will document freight condition on arrival and perform pre/post shift equipment inspections. Regular attendance and reliability are essential.

Candidate must be 17+, have a high school diploma or GED, and be eligible to work in the United States. Forklift certification is preferred; overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Forklift experience or certification preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs.
• Must be able to push/pull loaded pallet jack or hand truck with 70 lbs.
• Must be able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using forklift or pallet jack.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage.
• Record the condition of freight on arrival.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
• Maintain regular attendance and reliability.
