Job summary

Roadrunner in Detroit, MI is seeking Freight Handlers who thrive in a fast-paced, active setting to move freight safely and efficiently. You will load, unload, tag, and secure shipments, and work closely with the dock team to maintain throughput while following safety rules.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 months of related experience or training, and the ability to read safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Forklift driver qualification required.
• Hazardous Materials training preferred.
• Experience in freight, logistics, warehouse, or LTL environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, stack, and secure freight with accuracy.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, and other industrial equipment.
• Maintain dock flow and cleanliness to support throughput.
• Assist machine operators and cross-functional teams as needed.
• Uphold safety, accuracy, and performance standards.
