Job summary

Foundation Building Materials (FBM) is seeking a full-time Dispatcher in Ohio to coordinate drivers, routes, and deliveries. You will manage schedules, communicate with the branch warehouse, and ensure accurate delivery information while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role requires bilingual Spanish (preferred), solid computer skills, and proactive problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Branch Manager and offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Building products knowledge strongly preferred.
• Strong computer/data entry skills required.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Ability to quickly and accurately perform basic math.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility/adaptability in scheduling and routing.

Responsibilities

• Dispatching & Logistics Management—coordinate drivers, routes and deliveries.
• Provides schedules and dispatches delivery crews in a safe and efficient manner while maximizing branch profitability.
• Responsible for the accurate and efficient communication and distribution of all delivery orders to branch warehouse and delivery staff.
• Uses and maintains Department of Transportation (DOT) dispatch software to above-target FBM compliance percentage.
• Provide instruction to drivers if a logistical or customer service issue should arise.
• Calls to confirm address, material, stocking conditions, and any other needed information on ALL deliveries BEFORE the truck leaves the FBM warehouse.
• Establishes, builds, and maintains customer relationships; communicates delivery statuses to sales and management.
• Must attend all required meetings in relation to deliveries and overall company policies.
