SRS Distribution Inc. is seeking an Assistant Dispatcher to support the Dispatcher/Operations Manager in directing and coordinating orders and deliveries for day-to-day operations at our Columbus, OH facility.

This position requires a GED (some college preferred) and a minimum of two years dispatching experience. Strong verbal and written communication, independent work ethic, and teamwork are essential. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• GED required, some college preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of dispatching experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute and/or delegate as needed, while also collaborating with others to get the job done.

Responsibilities

• Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements and enforces adherence to requirements.
• Completes warehouse/delivery requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Coordinates with personnel to ensure that service to the customer meets an acceptable standard and generates positive feedback.
• Ensures compliance with the Safety and Loss Control Program.
• Cooperates with Safety director and GMS Risk Management representatives in the investigation and analysis of potential hazards to enforce methods and reduce losses of claims.
