Job summary

Atlanta Technical College seeks a Full-Time Instructor in Dental Hygiene to deliver daily instruction in classrooms, labs, and clinical settings on the Main campus. Under supervision, you will prepare curricula, assess students, and maintain appropriate records.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in Dental Hygiene, 3+ years of relevant experience, and current licensure. BLS and Local Anesthesia certs are required. Position is housed in the Health and Public Safety Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene and 3+ years of paid full-time work experience and teaching experience in a dental hygiene program.
• Georgia State Licensure as a Dental Hygienist in Good Standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification by American Heart Association.
• Local Anesthesia Certification.
• Preferred qualifications may include a Master's degree and 5+ years of teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers quality curriculum with daily instruction of students in the classroom, dental lab & clinical settings.
• Demonstrate testing and grading procedures and proper record-keeping.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills and knowledge of current Dental Hygiene procedures.
• Follow approved curriculum standards and course syllabus.
• Advise and counsel students and maintain advisement records.
• Maintain classrooms, clinics, and laboratories per management plans.
• Assist in student recruitment and job placement and serve on committees.
