Job summary

Savannah Technical College seeks a part-time Dental Hygiene Clinical Instructor for the Savannah Campus. The instructor will report to the Dean for Health Sciences and the Department Head of the Dental Hygiene Program, and will be responsible for classroom, lab, and clinical instruction in addition to coordinating student experiences.

Applicants must hold Georgia Dental Hygiene licensure, an associate degree in dental hygiene, and be flexible to teach day, evening, or weekend classes, with CPR

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include Georgia Dental Hygiene licensure in good standing with the Georgia Board of Dentistry.
• An associate's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Must be flexible to teach day, evening, or weekend classes and possess CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in classrooms, laboratories, and clinical settings using appropriate teaching methods.
• Evaluates instruction and learning with appropriate testing and evaluation methods.
• Maintains and submits accurate reports and records involving student accountability, attendance, performance, and follow-up.
• Coordinates cooperative work experience programs and students as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with dental hygiene accreditation standards of regional and national accrediting agencies.
