Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene is required.
• 2–3 years of full-time clinical dental hygiene experience required.
• Current Registered Georgia State Licensed Dental Hygienist required.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with delivery of clinical instruction for credit-bearing dental hygiene courses.
• Prepare and implement clinical learning activities aligned with program curriculum and learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student performance in the clinical setting to determine progress toward competencies.
• Support the operation of the dental hygiene clinic, including preparation and maintenance of supplies, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain accurate student clinical records and assist with program documentation and reports.
• Participate in professional development activities to maintain current knowledge of dental hygiene practice and clinical education methods.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to support student learning and clinical competency development.
• Assist with student recruitment, retention, and career placement initiatives.
• Clinical instruction occurs in a laboratory/clinical environment simulating contemporary dental hygiene practice.
