NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Pathology Assistant for day shift to support Anatomic Pathology operations. The role involves gross examination, specimen dictation, and management of time-sensitive frozen sections, with on-site responsibilities in a high-volume setting.

Qualifying candidates will have a pathologists’ assistant degree (NAACLS) or equivalent, may pursue a limited permit, and possess ASCP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a pathologists’ assistant program registered by the NYS Education Department or NAACLS-equivalent.
• May file for Limited permit while awaiting examination and licensure within 6 months.
• ASCP certification and fellowship with professional bodies preferred.

Responsabilités

• Process Anatomic Pathology specimens with gross examination.
• Dictate specimen findings and manage time-sensitive frozen section cases.
• Support routine Anatomic Pathology operations and ensure timely case processing.
