Job summary

The Salvation Army Grand Rapids Kroc Center seeks a part-time Dance Instructor to teach students of all ages in athletics, recreation, and community education. Instructors design lesson plans, deliver engaging lessons, and uphold safety standards while fostering spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being.

Under supervision, you will create energetic, motivating classes, tailor instruction to beginner through advanced levels, and communicate effectively with program managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Certification or a related degree or level of expertise required.
• Must have current First Aid, CPR, and AED or obtain within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students of all ages and abilities in athletics, recreation, fine arts, and community education.
• Design lesson plans and instructional materials; present subject matter clearly and manage classrooms.
• Maintain safety protocols and health standards for all classes.
• Encourage spiritual, emotional, and physical regeneration in participants.
• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate classes and provide feedback to participants.
