Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC is seeking Daily Substitute Teachers to support Barber Preparatory Academy and Inkster Preparatory Academy in Michigan. This role offers $165 per day with a $750 bonus every 30 days worked, plus opportunities to contribute to a high-performing network of charter schools serving PK–8 students.

Responsibilities include supporting instruction, supervising students, following lesson plans, and applying diverse curricula.

Qualifications

Eligible for or hold a State of Michigan Substitute Teaching License.
Minimum of 60 completed college credit hours (education or related field preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks. Experience working with students in urban environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support classroom instruction and help maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment.
Supervise students throughout the school day (classroom, hallways, playground, cafeteria).
Follow provided lesson plans and school procedures.
Utilize school-approved curricula reflecting diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds.
Build positive relationships with students and staff; collaborate with colleagues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
