Job summary

The teacher will plan lessons, implement engaging activities, assess student progress, and collaborate with staff to support student growth and school improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Oklahoma secondary teaching certification required.
• Business Education / Career & Technology background preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaches business information technology to pupils in classroom per the curriculum adopted by the state and district.
• Instructs pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter and state regulations.
• Develops lesson plans and provides individualized and small group instruction.
• Translates lesson plans into learning experiences to maximize instructional time.
• Uses fair grading patterns based on identified criteria.
• Maintains standards of pupil behavior and respectful treatment.
• Evaluates pupil progress and keeps records; communicates with parents.
• Participates in School Improvement initiatives and professional growth activities.
• Supervises pupils during activities and contingencies as needed.
