Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a qualified educator to lead the Business Education component of the CTE program. The role involves delivering standards-based instruction, planning lessons, and maintaining an engaging classroom environment to promote student success.

You will collaborate with CTE teachers and administrators, use data to drive instruction, and guide students on career paths and further education opportunities while engaging families and the school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 24 credit hours in the content area.
• Passing the NC SBE licensure area exam.
• Enrollment in the EPP/NC DPI New Teacher Induction Program.
• 40 hour induction beginning Year One.
• CTE Restricted Licenses available.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and teach a competency-based CTE program in Business Education.
• Develop curriculum-based projects and activities aligned with construction concepts.
• Use multiple data elements to assess student progress and modify instruction.
• Provide information and counsel students on employment, career opportunities and further education.
• Coordinate CTE Student Organization activities and participate in PLCs and professional learning communities.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Create a safe, positive learning environment and manage classroom and lab settings.
