Job summary

Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) is seeking an adjunct instructor in Communication Skills to teach Oral/Interpersonal Communication and Speech. The role supports both on-campus and online delivery to a diverse student body, under the supervision of the associate dean.

Candidates should have a Master's degree in Oral Communications or related field with relevant graduate credits, plus post-secondary teaching experience and online/Canvas LMS familiarity. Residency in Wisconsin is required.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Oral Communications or related field with 18 graduate credits in Oral Communication.
At least one year of post-secondary teaching experience as lead instructor.
Experience designing, planning, and implementing alternative delivery formats (internet, accelerated, hybrid).
Online teaching experience required.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality instruction to a range of program students.
Integrate technology into teaching of course material.
Contribute to program development, curriculum design, and program assessment.
Collaborate with a variety of faculty, staff, and students using strong communication and organizational skills.
Demonstrate a strong foundation in pedagogy.
Use feedback as a developmental tool for growth around instructional effectiveness and collegiality.
Effective at teaching in multiple formats (face-to-face, hybrid, internet).
Maintain positive relationships within Liberal Arts programs and occupational programs at WCTC.
