Brown & Brown seeks a Commercial Lines Account Manager – Small Business in Chicago, IL. The role handles day-to-day client service on an assigned book, with collaboration from a Producer or Account Executive for placement and business development.

The position emphasizes renewal management, exposure gathering, submissions, and prompt responses to client inquiries, while maintaining accurate records and billing information in the system of record. Knowledge of Property & Casualty is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a Property & Casualty brokerage environment.
• Knowledge of Property & Casualty business.
• Ability to follow process and procedures guidance.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in renewal strategy with Prod/AE and discusses markets, claims reviews and exposure gathering.
• Manages renewal book, creates submissions, and supports placement through proposals and binding.
• Assists in drafting exposure gathering information, loss exhibits, submissions and proposals.
• Obtains loss runs or policy documentation from carrier websites as needed.
• Primary recipient of daily questions or changes from client or Prod/AE; updates system of record.
