Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Must be licensed per state and industry requirements.
• Ability to understand and analyze commercial lines coverage, forms, procedures, and rating.
• Strong understanding of commercial lines underwriting and coverages.
• Desire to pursue advanced insurance designations.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint and AMS360.
• Professional designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, prompt, accurate, courteous service to clients.
• Coordinate expirations with producers to obtain renewal/new information and maintain expiration control log.
• Assist in marketing new and renewal business; determine premiums and prepare proposals.
• Check new and renewal policies for correctness in rating, coverage, and input these transactions for billing invoices.
• Receive calls from clients and companies regarding insurance or administrative needs.
• Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding items and overdue tasks.
• Perform special projects at management’s request.
• Meet with clients to discuss and handle their insurance needs.
• Keep producers informed of all important account activities.
• Assist in cross-selling and account rounding across departments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
