Job summary

First American is seeking a Commercial Escrow Officer in Tampa, FL to join its dynamic team. You will establish new commercial escrow accounts and manage escrow documents in line with policy, procedures, and timelines.

You will collaborate with Underwriting, ensure accurate disbursements, and prepare closing statements, legal documents, and routine escrow reports. A strong focus on customer service and compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of escrow experience as an Escrow Officer, preferably commercial
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers
• Strong problem solving with organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Excel and comfort with new software applications

Responsibilities

• Grow and service the business by delivering outstanding customer service
• Complete simple and complex commercial real estate escrow transactions and serve as liaison between buyer, seller, and lender
• Collaborate with Underwriting to monitor and mitigate risk to the company
• Ensure funds are properly accounted for and disbursed per contract
• Complete closing by reviewing, recording, and filing documents including final closing statements and title
• Prepare regular reports on escrow account status for involved parties
• Prepare legal documents for closure of the sale
• Comply with regulatory requirements and enforce adherence to them
