First American is seeking a Commercial Escrow Officer to join our Tampa team. You will establish new commercial escrow accounts and process escrow documents aligned with policy guidelines, playing a key role in transforming the commercial real estate experience by empowering colleagues and clients to deliver results.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of escrow experience, excels in customer service, communicates clearly, and works well with underwriting and other teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of escrow related experience, preferably Commercial.
• Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers.
• Problem solving with strong organizational skills; ability to navigate internal and external resources to resolve issues.
• Escrow officer certification may be required depending on state.
• Comfort with technology and proprietary programs; quick adaptation to new software.
• Team player who contributes to delivering beyond customer expectations.
• High School Diploma/Equivalent.
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.

Responsabilités

• Continually grow and service the business by providing outstanding customer service.
• Complete simple and complex commercial real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements and coordinating between buyer, seller, and lender.
• Collaborate with Underwriting to monitor and mitigate risk to the company.
• Ensure all funds are properly accounted for and disbursed per contract terms.
• Close transactions by reviewing, recording, and filing documents, preparing final closing statements and title, and meeting delivery dates.
• Prepare regular escrow status reports for involved parties.
