Job summary

First American is seeking a Commercial Escrow Officer to establish new commercial escrow accounts and process escrow documents per policy. You will serve as a neutral liaison among buyer, seller, and lender while coordinating with Underwriting to manage risk and ensure accurate disbursements.

Responsibilities include reviewing and filing documents, preparing closing statements, and delivering timely reports. A high school diploma is required, with 2–4 years of escrow experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of escrow experience in Commercial real estate preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal/external customers.
• Ability to problem solve, stay organized and navigate resources to resolve issues.
• May require escrow officer certification depending on state requirements.
• Comfort with technology and proprietary programs; quick to adapt to new software.

Responsibilities

• Grow and service the business by delivering outstanding customer service.
• Complete simple and complex commercial real estate escrow transactions as liaison between buyer, seller, and lender.
• Collaborate with Underwriting to monitor and mitigate risk.
• Ensure funds are properly accounted for and disbursed per contract terms.
• Prepare and review closing statements, title, and distribute closing documents on time.
• Produce regular escrow status reports for involved parties.
