Job summary

Diehl Collision of Washington is hiring an experienced Collision Estimator to join our auto body and collision repair team in Washington, PA. You will be the key contact between customers, insurance companies, technicians, and management to assess damage and prepare estimates.

Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, creating detailed estimates, verifying information with insurers, and guiding customers through the repair process in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of collision repair procedures and auto body estimating.
• Experience with insurance claims and adjusters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and identify collision-related repairs.
• Write accurate and detailed auto body repair estimates.
• Document damage and identify hidden issues.
• Prepare estimates using collision estimating software.
• Review labor operations, parts, repair procedures, and materials.
• Research OEM repair procedures and follow them.
• Take and document vehicle damage photos.
• Review insurance estimates for accuracy.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and claims representatives.
• Prepare supplements when additional damage is discovered.
• Maintain repair documentation throughout the process.
• Communicate repair recommendations to customers and manage expectations.
• Coordinate with technicians, painters, parts personnel, and management.
• Assist with maintaining efficient repair workflow and cycle times.
