Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Must hold current medical assistant certification.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient/ambulatory setting.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of medical procedures, which relates to patient education and health practice.
• Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
• Excellent phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients, record history, and measure vital signs.
• Collect and report CLIA-waived lab tests.
• Collect, prepare, and document specimen collection.
• Perform clinical duties including patient prep and assisting provider.
• Prepare charts and administer medications and injections.
• Dismiss patients and participate in staff orientation.
• Work as part of a team to coordinate patient care.
• Work at other locations to fill staffing shortages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
