Qualifications

• Successful completion of all student teaching requirements and coursework to obtain the appropriate teaching certificate(s) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
• License required: Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) issued by ISBE.
• Knowledge of subject matter and contemporary teaching practices consistent with state certification requirements.
• Ability to modify instruction to meet student needs and to work with pupils, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan instructional activities and prepare written lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives.
• Establish learning expectations and monitor pupil progress with accurate records.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding progress, attendance, and conduct.
