Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Medical assistant diploma or related coursework is required.
• Specialty department certification may be required (e.g., pediatric MA).
• Minimum one year of recent medical facility experience as a medical assistant or externship completed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, manage patient flow, and accompany to exam rooms.
• Assist physicians and nurses during procedures and with patient care.
• Perform clerical tasks: scheduling, obtaining records, and verifying insurance details.
• Chart and document patient information; maintain clean, organized work areas.
