Job summary

Lancaster Campus in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Community Manager to oversee all operational aspects of a student housing property. You will lead on-site staff, manage budgets, occupancy, and customer service to ensure satisfaction and fiscal stability.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree plus supervisory experience in property management and may benefit from an active real estate license or CAM/IREM credentials. Strong planning, communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree plus three or more years of supervisory experience in a property or housing management position, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
• Accredited Residential Manager (IREM) or CAM (BOMA) or willingness to obtain within one year of hire
• Real Estate license is desirable

Responsibilities

• Manage all actions that involve and/or influence the property
• Review occupancy reports to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Conduct surveys of local rental rates and participate in establishing rental rates
• Conduct analyses of operating expenses
• Create and implement an innovative management plan including an operating and capital budget
• Study housing demands and recommend policies and changes to remain competitive
• Provide first-class customer service to residents
• Establish performance goals for on-site staff and direct staff toward completion
• Coordinate and supervise activities of contracted services
• Physically inspect the property daily or assign qualified personnel
• Prepare and review periodic reporting
• Maintain communication with supervisors, clients and owners about significant issues
• Investigate resident disturbances and resolve problems per laws and regulations
• Manage evictions and resident transfers as needed
