Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago is seeking a part-time Media Specialist at Kennedy-King College to coordinate daily AV operations and provide classroom AV support for faculty and students. You will assist with events and meetings, recordings, and equipment setup.

The role requires strong AV knowledge, technical troubleshooting, and dependable teamwork. This position supports campus events and upholds CCC service standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in IT or related area with two years of technical experience.
• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting with AV equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication; team player and self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Ensures availability of functional AV equipment for requests from faculty and staff, including laptop/computer setup, microphone setup, and control systems (Crestron/AMX/Extron).
• Provides recording services for conferences and meetings and sets up presentations as required.
• May supervise staff and student aides in AV equipment provisioning and software configuration.
• Apprises staff of new software and AV resources and maintains knowledge of presentation technologies.
• Coordinates on-campus and off-campus events and serves as liaison between media department and other departments.
