Jobot is seeking a Business Litigation Associate to join our Hartford, CT office. The role handles a broad range of complex commercial disputes from inception through resolution, with meaningful responsibility early and direct client interaction.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Admission to Connecticut state bar, or eligibility to waive in.
• Experience with motion practice, discovery, and court procedures.
• Prior experience in a law firm or comparable legal environment.
• Judicial clerkship or law review experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support a range of business litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and motion papers
• Participate in discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositions
• Assist with hearing and trial preparation, including drafting outlines and preparing exhibits
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client advisement
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel as appropriate
