Job summary

Dolphin Hotels is seeking a dynamic Banquet Server to greet, assist, and serve guests at special events. You will help with event planning, setup, serving, and post-event cleanup while ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have strong interpersonal skills, a teamwork mindset, and flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Prior banquet experience is a plus, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented.
• Positive outlook and outgoing personality.
• Previous banquet serving experience is a big plus.
• This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a server is preferred.
• May need to meet age limits for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee breaks, carts and stations with appropriate supplies.
• Organize tables, action stations, buffets, and carts for service.
• Communicate any additional meal requirements or special requests to the kitchen.
• Ensure courses are properly cleared and crumbed in a timely fashion.
• Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitization of tables, stations and service areas.
• Greeting guests as they enter a venue and helping them to find their seats.
• See to the comfort of guests through answering questions, taking orders, and serving food and beverages.
• Circulating the room with trays of appetizers and beverages.
• Assist with event preparation, setup, and closing, including packing away tables and settings.
• Support other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
