Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Bankruptcy & Restructuring Associate to join its nationally recognized practice in Atlanta, New York, or Wilmington with a preference for New York.

Ideal candidate has 3–5 years of bankruptcy and restructuring experience, handles sophisticated matters, and collaborates with a national team. Comprehensive benefits are provided along with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of bankruptcy and restructuring experience.
• JD from an accredited law school; active bar admission.
• Excellent writing, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
• Handle Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, distressed M&A transactions, and creditor negotiations.
• Advise clients on distressed investing, private credit, and capital solutions.
• Participate in distressed asset sales and acquisitions.
